iDENTity was created by two QTPOC/QPOC dental students at the University of Washington who saw that dentistry was not inclusive of people like them. They wanted to create a group that would allow LGBTQ+ people to feel that oral healthcare was accessible to them in a way that was inclusive and meaningful. Since creating the group in 2018, they have been making clear strides towards making dentistry more equitable, accessible, and inclusive of all LGBTQ+ people. This is one of the reasons they decided to put together A Very Queer Health Fair, and why they wanted to center such a fair around inclusive dental care.
What is iDENTity bringing to the health fair?
